This short course is designed to give you a taste of the Disclosure Toolkit R3 Certification. By the end of the full course, you will be able to identify, support and advocate for anyone with a criminal conviction, as well as understanding:

• The range of offences in England and Wales.
• How to handle international convictions. 
• Your responsibility when someone discloses their criminal conviction.
• The Disclosure and Barring Service.
• Spent/unspent, consecutive vs concurrent sentences.
• How to support a candidate to disclose their conviction.
• How to advise someone with a criminal conviction on reintegration.
• Challenging and leading the conversation with external stakeholders.
• The social value of ex-offender employment .

Each lesson will feature four types of content:

Varying in size depending on the topic, will contain a mix of video, audio, text and interactive slides

⠀Knowledge checks

Each topic will have a short 3-5 question quiz to check your understanding. Your score in this quiz does not count towards certification.

A chance for you to practice your learning.

A graded quiz to test your knowledge at the end of each course, that will count towards achieving your accreditation.
